I have been using the free Wikis at Wikispaces with children for a while.  They are a great online tool to communicate with parents and to publish children's work.

A wiki can be set to private or public. You can have whole classes collaborating on a project Wiki. Members can be invited to contribute to one or many pages.
Please contact me if you would like me to set up and customize wikis for your children or staff. I can demonstrate how to use a wiki and to add members
See the examples below of child collaborated wikis

It is very quick and easy to insert the following onto a wikipage:
  • images
  • videos
  • audio files
  • Google maps
  • calendars
  • documents
  • slideshows
Add the web2 embedding code  as a 'widget'
For example the Games on BBC Revisewise or
Teachers can create class wikis to publish  curriculum information  for parents as well as embedding a class calendar, work examples and homework.
